Curtis Contracting, Inc. is a leading design-build construction and general contracting company that specializes in building, highway, and infrastructure improvements for federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
The company is divided into multiple divisions, including the Pipe division, Civil division, Bridge division, Design build, Asphalt paving division, Road way maintenance, Traffic signs and signals, and Federal division.
As a prime contractor, Curtis Contracting's work includes a full range of building construction activities and design-build projects. The company has extensive design-build experience and prefers to pursue project solicitations that recognize safety, quality, environmental stewardship, and performance as the major factors in the contract award criteria.
Job Responsibilities
As a skilled laborer, you will perform traffic control duties, concrete preparation, and guardrail installation duties under close supervision. You will work outdoors at construction sites, maintenance facilities, and outside environments with exposure to inclement weather.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating mini excavators, skid steers, and front-end loaders
- Performing techniques of traffic control
- Following OSHA safety rules and regulations and safety standards in hazardous traffic environments
- Operating small construction equipment and miscellaneous hand-held tools according to standard operating and safety procedures
- Following safe work practices and establishing effective working relationships with co-workers
