High-Pressure Gas Operations Specialist

The High-Pressure Gas Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in managing emergency leak responses, conducting natural gas line locates, and overseeing meter operations. This position involves executing all high-pressure gas responsibilities independently, with pressures reaching up to 1480 PSI. Collaboration with customer service is essential for coordinating meter activations and installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain all necessary Operator Qualification Certifications for Field Technicians I, II & III, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  2. Respond to leak calls, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions.
  3. Install, monitor, and maintain gas meter sets in new residential projects, including both residential and commercial installations.
  4. Conduct installation, maintenance, and replacement of high-pressure gas meters.
  5. Facilitate pressure upgrades for new equipment installations, such as pools and water heaters.
  6. Coordinate daily activities with the Field Service team to ensure uninterrupted gas service.
  7. Inspect and validate contractor work in accordance with industry and regulatory standards.
  8. Perform pipeline surveys and patrols to ensure safety and compliance.
  9. Install and program Automated Meter Readers (AMR) for residential and commercial use.
  10. Oversee the Odorization process for safety compliance.
  11. Monitor and maintain all high-pressure stations and systems.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Familiarity with local codes and regulations.
  • Experience in a field operations environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to participate in a rotating On-Call Duty schedule.
