Your expertise will ensure that all patients are oriented to recreation therapy and provided with hospital-wide leisure, social, and divergent programs. You will also serve as an educator to patients on community resources. To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation and current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or eligibility to take the exam. Additionally, you will need to be certified in BLS or complete the certification within 90 days of employment.
