Senior Principal Semiconductor Product Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Semiconductor Product Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS). As a key contributor, you will be responsible for portfolio product management of RVS Production Space Programs, including maturation of manufacturing and technology readiness, semiconductor wafer and Sensor Chip Assemblies (SCA) processing, stakeholder collaboration, and project management experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve manufacturing and technology readiness levels and drive key technical decisions regarding design and processing techniques, having deep knowledge of theory and organizational practices.
- Owns and develops functional strategy and operational goals leading Integrated Product Teams and working closely with Program Managers to ensure engineering requirements are defined and understood, risks/opportunities are managed, and schedules/budgets are met.
- Work under limited supervision and demonstrate expert or mastery level knowledge of the work area.
- Prepare technical justification analysis reports as well as present to a variety of Engineering and Program Review Boards in this customer-facing role.
- Actively lead and drive proposal efforts and work with business development and PMO to improve our customer base.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a STEM degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience. Or an advanced degree and 7 years of prior relevant experience.
- The Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of any of the following: HgCdTe, III/V semiconductor or micro-bolometer (uncooled) detector physics, wafer processing in a cleanroom environment.
- Ability to understand and analyze data related to semiconductor device performance.
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Understanding of Process Yields and Analysis.
- Experience with Bids and Proposals.
- Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) Experience.
- Experience with device design and modeling instruments such as MATLAB.
