Job Summary

The Construction Helper plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of construction sites. As a key member of our team, you will assist construction craft workers and electricians in various tasks, from carrying tools and materials to setting up equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct heavy equipment operators, track hoe, and loaders during excavation operations.
  • Operate small equipment, such as skid steer loaders.
  • Cut and thread steel pipe, and assist in the fitting and installation of underground and above-ground tanks.
  • Assist the foreman with shooting grades and documentation.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site, as directed by the foreman.
  • Ensure all signs, safety barricades, and devices are in place.
  • Comply with all safety requirements, including the use of proper personal protective equipment.
  • Account for, clean, and organize tools on the truck or job trailer.
  • Keep the job inventory accurate.
  • Travel to job sites (in-state) Monday through Friday, with per diem compensation and travel expenses paid by the company.
Requirements
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to bend, lift, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, carry, and lift 60 pounds independently.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to read a blueprint.
  • Basic understanding of taking measurements, math, and mechanical skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
