Key Responsibilities:- Structural Repair and Modification: Remove and install aircraft components, fabricate and modify structural modifications on aircraft parts, and perform minor structural repairs on composite components.
- Hidden Damage Inspection: Assist in conducting hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures.
- Structural Repair Assistance: Assist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft.
- Ground Support Equipment Operation: Operate ground support equipment as required.
- Aircraft Component Repair: Assist with aircraft component repair.
- Mechanical and Electrical Removals and Installations: Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations as required.
- Maintenance Assistance: May assist with maintenance at off-site locations.
- Wing Removal: Assist in wing removal as required.
- Confined Area Inspection: Inspect confined areas of the airframe.
- Design and Modification: Assist in designing, modifying, and welding metal fixtures as required.
- Time Estimates: Assist in providing time estimates as required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of structural sheet metal repair/modification experience or substantiated similar experience.
- Corporate/Commercial Jet Experience: Minimum of 1 year of corporate/commercial jet experience.
- Education: Completed Sheetmetal A/C Tech school or equivalent schooling.
- Licenses and Certifications: &P license, A license, or Repairman certificate is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings and effectively communicate (verbal and written) aircraft status.
- Tools and Equipment: Own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control of tools.
- Training and Development: Demonstrated ability to train other employees is preferred.
- Shift Work: Comfortable with shift work (12-hour shifts, overnights, weekends, holidays), including nonscheduled overtime.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) (if applicable).
- Team Player: Enjoy working on commercial aircraft, growing professionally, and being part of a team passionate about CRJs.
- Computer Skills: Basic PC skills.
