Structures Technician

As a Structures Technician at MHI, you will be responsible for performing thorough inspections of aircraft structures, identifying and documenting any signs of damage or wear. You will also be required to comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures. Additionally, you will execute repairs and modifications on various structural components, including wing, fuselage, and tail sections. Your tasks will also include fabricating and modifying structural modifications on aircraft parts, performing minor structural repairs on composite components, and utilizing precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure accurate repairs and compliance with aviation regulations.
Requirements for Success
To succeed as a Structures Technician at MHI, you will need to have a minimum of 1 year of structural sheet metal repair and modification experience or sustained similar experience. Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience is preferred, as well as CRJ airframe experience and MRO experience. You will also need to have completed Sheetmetal A/C Tech school or equivalent schooling and hold a FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) License. Strong knowledge of aircraft structures and materials is also required, as well as the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
