Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse

Copper River Native Association is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in our ambulatory care setting. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, identify their needs, and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Implementation and Evaluation: Implement care plans, monitor patient progress, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to ensure continuous improvement.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and promote a culture of respect and empathy.
- Education and Training: Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote health literacy and self-management skills.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient care.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- License: Current State of Alaska Nursing license.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
- Experience: 0-1 year of nursing experience, with a preference for experience in ambulatory care, medical, surgical, or emergency care.
The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items weighing less than 25 lbs. Most work is performed in a clinical office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities. Copper River Native Association is a smoke-free and tobacco-free campus. May require local travel between compact services of CRNA which may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions. Works in an environment where protection of client confidentiality is essential. Personal Protective Equipment will be provided when and where needed.
