Job Overview

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Aeroacoustic Engineer to join our sound and vibration engineering team. As a senior engineer, you will play a key role in designing centrifugal compressors and providing technical support to our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize commercial software to predict centrifugal compressor pulsation early in the design process.
  • Lead gas block acoustic testing of new designs, extracting data and preparing reports to demonstrate acoustic performance.
  • Recommend and implement new technology to reduce sound levels.
  • Enhance existing compressor design methodology.
  • Apply process and project management techniques to execute programs within budget and schedule.
  • Investigate and mitigate aero-acoustic anomalies using experimental and analytical techniques.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related science.
  • Minimum 4 years' related experience.
  • In-depth understanding of compressor aeroacoustic design process.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and Project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in acoustics or degree with a focus in acoustics.
  • Proficiency in acoustic data acquisition and analysis tools, including Wave6 and Mueller-BBM PAK.
  • Strong background in manufacturing processes of aerodynamic components.
  • Strong project management skills.
