Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver - Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will provide one-on-one care to young adults and elderly individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their home environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with daily living skills, including meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene
  • Provide guidance on developmental goals, such as community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities
  • Support individuals with redirecting agitated or aggressive behaviors
  • Transport individuals to outings, field trips, medical appointments, and shopping

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Maintaining a professional attitude and appearance at all times
  • Six months of experience in human services preferred
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
  • Successful clearance of background checks
