Overview:
The primary objective is to ensure that the Housekeeping Department effectively cleans and maintains guest rooms and public areas in line with client and guest expectations, as well as HEI Standards of Product and Service.
Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of room attendants, house persons, and inspectors by conducting regular meetings, inspecting work, and providing guidance to rectify deficiencies and uphold standards.
Organize staff work schedules, determine days off, and ensure staffing levels align with occupancy and current or anticipated projects.
Submit payroll records, correct errors to ensure timely payment, and include any additional services such as extra cleanings or cots.
Maintain and review computerized records for budgeting and forecasting department expenses, as well as inspection scores for housekeepers.Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to provide precise direction to staff.
Adhere to attendance policies and be available to work regularly.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a similar hotel environment.
Understanding of hotel operations, including marketing strategies, security and safety protocols, personnel and labor relations, business plan preparation, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-term planning.
Strong written communication skills to convey information in a concise, organized, and clear manner.
Able to work effectively under time constraints and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
