Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel. As a key member of our Housekeeping Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping staff, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and motivate a team of housekeeping staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve job expectations. Evaluate staff performance, provide coaching and counseling as needed, and communicate clearly the standards of performance and their role in contributing to individual and team success.
  • Cleaning and Inspection: Perform and supervise the cleaning and inspection of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with proper cleaning techniques, procedures, brand standards, and regulations.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and maintain accurate inventory as assigned to ensure the housekeeping department has the necessary resources to maintain high standards.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Reporting and Communication: Write shift reports, including reports on any incidents of theft, accidents, or injuries, and communicate with management and other departments as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school education plus schooling in hospitality management, business, or related experience.
  • Experience: Two or more years of related experience in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Skills: Familiarity with hospitality industry practices, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
