Vice President of Operations - Manufacturing

As a pivotal member of the executive leadership team, the Vice President of Operations will be tasked with steering the strategic direction, formulating policies, and executing both financial and non-financial objectives. By utilizing innovative methodologies in business development, technical integration, and strategic planning, the selected candidate will implement sustainable practices tailored for the federal government and related sectors. Collaboration across diverse teams is crucial to ensure operational strategies are in sync with overarching business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external project stakeholders.
  2. Oversee communication and reporting processes with key contacts and entities.
  3. Address complex inter-team dependencies and enhance technical system management.
  4. Lead project planning initiatives, defining milestones and allocating financial resources effectively.
  5. Establish, monitor, and drive the critical path while managing risks, dependencies, and project-related decisions.
  6. Effectively communicate project achievements, timelines, priorities, challenges, and overall project health to all organizational levels.
  7. Oversee project expenditures, capitalization, and compliance with tax credit reporting.
  8. Design and disseminate impactful automated reporting tools.
  9. Promote customer-focused strategies to create enriching educational experiences.
  10. Guide a robust team, establishing project frameworks, partnerships, and the overall educational philosophy of programming.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. 5-7+ years of experience in technical project management.
  2. Familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, and global manufacturing standards.
  3. Proven experience in grant accounting and financial oversight, particularly concerning government grants.
  4. Entrepreneurial mindset coupled with strong leadership and analytical skills.
  5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  6. Bachelor's degree (Master's or Ph.D. preferred)

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience.
  2. Proficient in corporate policy, operations, strategy, and growth management.
  3. Experience with global defense and security mission clientele.
  4. Track record of managing programs and P&L exceeding $20-40M in revenue.
  5. Experience in building and scaling teams and operational systems.
  6. Extensive expertise in supporting the development of large-scale projects and deliverables.
  7. Experience in government or federal consulting.
  8. Proven ability to work with senior-level executives.
  9. Experience in fostering external partnerships across government and industry sectors.
  10. Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications are advantageous.
