Job Description

EG Professional is seeking a highly skilled Plant Manager to join their team in Manchester, CT. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of professionals and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to excel in their roles.
  • Develop and implement strategic growth plans, aligning with the company's overall objectives.
  • Schedule production and manage customer inventories, ensuring timely deliveries and minimizing rejections.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing product problems, new product information, and special requests.
  • Lead the development of documented production procedures, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Order key production supplies, maintaining on-time customer deliveries and ensuring quality control.
  • Respond to customer quality complaints, working with quality and production teams to resolve issues.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Ensure proper production procedures and techniques are maintained, adhering to quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, as prescribed by the Quality Assurance Manual.
  • Develop a high-performing team, focusing on safety and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in monthly meetings, analyzing performance against KPI targets.
  • Create a culture of respect and satisfaction among employees.
  • Lead plant safety initiatives, completing annual safety and environmental training.
  • Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Local environmental legal requirements and practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Material Science or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of heat-treating principles, including time, temperature, transformation relations, and quality control techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Valid driver's license, in accordance with the position.
  • Eligibility to comply with U.S. export control regulations.
