We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Associate to join our team at Brook Lane, Inc. as a key member of our Inpatient treatment team.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Physicians, Nurses, Therapists, and Security personnel, to provide high-quality care to patients experiencing acute mental health issues.
- Facilitate patient engagement in prescribed therapeutic activities and promote daily structure and routine.
- Run topical groups and recreational activities to foster a supportive and therapeutic environment.
- Provide nursing support for all aspects of direct patient care, including vital signs, assisting with daily needs, and responding to crises.
- Utilize verbal de-escalation and physical restraint techniques, as necessary, to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- High school degree required, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in mental/behavioral health or residential settings.
- CNA, EMT, or other medical experience will be considered.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including assisting with lifting, behavior management, and therapeutic restraints.
- Competence in using proper therapeutic interventions, following completion of a Brook Lane training course.
