About the Role

Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking a skilled mental health professional to join our team in Washington County, MD. As a therapist, you will provide out-patient services to children and families, as well as adults, utilizing a wraparound approach to treatment. Our organization specializes in Psychiatry, Off-Site Counseling Services, On-Site therapy, and Therapeutic Mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions, adhering to established practice standards and expectations.
  • Schedule appointments with clients, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Complete clinical notes and documentation within designated deadlines, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with referral sources, colleagues, and other stakeholders, promoting a collaborative treatment environment.
  • Ensure confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines, safeguarding sensitive client information.
  • Respond promptly to client and family inquiries, as well as communication from referral sources and ABH staff.
  • Stay informed about organizational policies, procedures, and best practices through regular communication and training.
  • Participate in regular supervision sessions with a board-approved supervisor, ensuring ongoing professional growth and development.
  • Attend department meetings and contribute to team discussions, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Medical or Site Director, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Licensure in the state of Maryland as a LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, or LCPC.
  • Previous experience in psychotherapy is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, delegate responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, as required.
  • Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic differences, with a commitment to providing culturally competent care.
  • Excellent customer service, listening, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Understanding of managed care concepts and a willingness to work within that system.
