Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Records Specialist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate and secure health records for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to health record requests from various stakeholders, including attorneys, insurance companies, physicians, and patients.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of health records, including radiology films and CDs.
  • Perform research and make corrections to health records as needed.
  • Enter notes and updates into our Systoc system.
  • Prepare and scan subopenas into our On-Base system.
  • Review record logs to ensure proper retention and timely destruction of records.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and their office staff.
  • Compile and process daily patient registration, clinical information, and health records release forms.
