Palliative Care Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Palliative Care Specialist to join our team at Northwestern Medicine. As a Palliative Care Specialist, you will provide comprehensive care to patients in their homes, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide palliative care services to patients in their homes
  • Conduct comprehensive appraisals of patients' health status
  • Prescribe and order medications, therapies, and laboratory tests as needed
  • Evaluate patients to determine their need for further healthcare
  • Provide comprehensive teaching to patients and families
Requirements:
  • Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant program
  • Current license as a registered nurse or physician assistant in the state of Illinois
  • Privileged and credentialed through the Northwestern Medicine Medical Staff Office
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation - BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Palliative care, hospice, ED, or ICU experience
