Clinical Informatics Specialist

The Clinical Informatics Specialist role is essential for enhancing the operational efficiency of clinical systems within healthcare settings. This position primarily focuses on administrative tasks, ensuring the effective management of patient information systems.
Certification Requirements- Must possess relevant certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, and other specific certifications as required for the role.
- All certifications should be accredited by recognized organizations including ARC, AHA, or the United States Department of Defense.
- Specific certifications may be mandated for certain specialties, such as RRT or Labor & Delivery.
- Specialty: Clinical Support Technician
- Engage in extensive administrative duties, focusing on patient information management rather than direct patient interaction.
- Possess substantial experience with the EPIC system to assist users effectively.
- Function as a Clinical Informaticist, requiring strong troubleshooting skills.
- First-time travelers are welcome; prior travel experience is not mandatory.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
- Utilize EMR systems, specifically Epic.
- Demonstrate proactive communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders to assess information and functional needs.
- Work alongside vendors and subject matter experts to align business and technical solutions, weighing usability against performance needs.
- Facilitate user engagement with technology while ensuring optimal software performance.
- Exhibit strong computer skills, including proficiency in online navigation and research.
- Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and manage work efforts effectively.
- Possess strong leadership capabilities.
- RN license is mandatory.
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Monthly travel is required between various clinics.
The clinical informatics team is responsible for the education and support of clinical systems across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Additional Requirements- Proof of I9 or Attestation is necessary.
- A government-issued photo ID must be carried during service hours.
- Proof of E-Verify or Attestation is required.
- Residency Declaration Form may be necessary for nurses operating under a compact license.
