Job Overview

Jill's House Inc is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Camp Program Director to lead our Weekend Adventure Camps in the Dallas area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the local program, building relationships with families, and ensuring a positive experience for our campers with intellectual disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, onboard, and train staff and volunteers
  • Manage communication with families, partner camps, and community partners
  • Guide families through the intake process and oversee case management
  • Manage fiscal budgets and resolve conflicts professionally
  • Engage with the community to build partnerships and advance the mission of Jill's House
  • Provide family support through care packages, parent dinners, and resources

Camp Experience:

  • Plan and execute weekend camps, tracking camper documentation and ensuring necessary paperwork
  • Schedule campers, staff, and volunteers, fostering relationships with partner camps
  • Manage staff, volunteers, and campers, ensuring a positive camp experience and safety
  • Assist with activities of daily living and deescalate behavioral episodes calmly and professionally

Requirements:

  • At least two years of relevant experience
  • Preferred bachelor's degree
  • Ability to work independently, manage self-paced tasks, and maintain high productivity levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, supervisory skills, and leadership experience
  • Clinical skills to deescalate behaviors and ability to develop creative plans to better serve campers
  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds and quickly pursue a camper if elopement occurs
  • Vibrant faith and passion for serving individuals with intellectual disabilities, God, and others
