Job Summary

Broadridge is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Tax Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our payroll operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws, as well as providing expert support to HR Operations with day-to-day inquiries and complex payroll issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and administer internal controls to ensure accurate tax information for all associates is properly set up in the payroll system.
  • Research state and local jurisdictions for tax compliance and support multi-state tracking and compliance.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations for bi-weekly and monthly multi-state payrolls.
  • Assist associates with tax and payroll-related queries and interpret payroll policies and tax rules to ensure accurate tax, benefits, and garnishment deductions.
  • Conduct peer-review for transactions issued by the Payroll team and research complex and critical issues while meeting Payroll SLAs.
  • Make recommendations for process improvement opportunities and document department processes and update SOPs.
  • Support quarterly and year-end tax processes to ensure accurate filings and reporting by tax service providers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of payroll tax experience, with knowledge of ADP Payroll system (EV, Globalview, or WorkforceNow) required.
  • Workday HR knowledge is a plus, as well as solid knowledge of payroll processing and experience with federal, state, and local tax laws and compliance within multiple states.
  • Intermediate level using Microsoft Word and Excel, Self Service functions, and general internet usage.
  • Project and/or implementation experience is a plus.
