- Fabricate, alter, and repair structural woodwork, floors, stairways, and fixtures.
- Perform repairs on equipment such as desks, chairs, tables, shelves, and cabinets.
- Hang doors and repair related hardware.
- Repair windows, frames, and screens.
- Perform unskilled labor duties, including digging holes, trenches, and other excavations, shoveling materials, and leveling areas.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Ability to receive and interpret written and oral instructions from a supervisor.
- Good health, dependability, and ability to perform hard physical work.
- Ability to use tools of trade in a workmanlike manner.
- Valid Massachusetts Class D driver's license.
- Valid Massachusetts Department of Public Safety Builder's License, Department of Labor & Industries Contractor License, or Board of Building Regulations & Standards Construction Supervisors License.
Work Environment:
This position primarily works indoors, but may be subject to outdoor environmental conditions, including wet, hot, and cold, and exposure to fumes, dust, and air contaminants.
