Key Responsibilities- Surface Preparation and Painting
- Read and interpret blueprints, instructions, and assess surfaces to determine necessary preparation and painting requirements.
- Prepare and set up work areas, including building scaffolding, covering fixtures, and managing workspace safety.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and removing old paint as needed.
- Fill cracks and holes with suitable materials and ensure surfaces are smooth and ready for painting.
- Mix paint and other materials to achieve desired color and texture.
- Apply paint using a variety of tools and techniques to achieve a professional finish.
- Conduct minor plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing small fixtures.
- Identify and address basic plumbing issues to ensure systems function properly.
- Assist with installing or replacing plumbing components when necessary.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, performing basic repairs as needed.
- Proven experience as a painter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Demonstrated skills in minor maintenance and plumbing work.
- Solid knowledge of painting materials, techniques, and tools.
- Aptitude for using various tools, including brushes, caulking guns, and basic plumbing instruments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected maintenance issues.
- Manual dexterity and balance to safely work on scaffolding, ladders, and other elevated surfaces.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or formal training in painting or plumbing is a plus.
