About the Role
This position is a pivotal opportunity for growth within our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in both transactional and technical accounting, thriving in a fast-paced and multifaceted corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate general ledger maintenance, journal entry review, and account reconciliations.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members, ensuring that deadlines are met and reconciliations are precise, while fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
  • Manage the consolidation of monthly financial statements utilizing Oracle's FCCS tool and oversee inter-company balance eliminations.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and detailed analyses of accounting transactions, financial statements, and management reports across various business units, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare transaction flow documentation for 1031 exchanges, intercompany settlements, and distributions.
  • Act as the primary contact for the annual external audit of the Corporate business unit and facilitate other audit processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Oversee the completion of tax deliverables in collaboration with the Corporate Tax Department.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of extensive accounting experience, with significant leadership roles in a reputable Public Accounting firm or a complex corporate setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams of 5 or more and collaborating with a broad range of internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Oracle ERP systems, with a strong understanding of GL Manager functionalities.
  • Experience in driving automation within Oracle modules.
  • Proven success in leading system implementations and maintaining stable operations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and analysis.
  • Results-driven with a history of meeting tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities, with a talent for inspiring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information to diverse audiences.
