Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Scientist to join our team at Recor Medical. As a key member of our Materials Engineering group, you will be responsible for the delivery and performance of materials used in our ultrasound therapy products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with suppliers to establish and maintain robust supply chains aligned with medical device industry standards and requirements.
  • Develop and evaluate specifications for critical materials.
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts to investigate component failures and direct cross-functional teams with mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize time management techniques to balance workload and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Lead complex functional projects to achieve project deliverables and renegotiate with management to overcome project challenges.
  • Evaluate potential risks associated with components and develop strategies to mitigate these risks throughout the supply chain.
  • Review product demand plans and make recommendations for supply assurance.
  • Conduct or supervise tests on raw materials or finished products to ensure quality.
  • Analyze product failure data and lab test results to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.
  • Anticipate potential safety hazards and recommend solutions.
  • Drive the implementation of changes by generating and executing test plans, test method development, verification, and validation protocols.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field, with an advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of related experience or its equivalent in education and experience.
  • Experience resulting in broad knowledge in a field related to electroceramics.
  • Hands-on experience in conducting materials testing such as SEM, XRD, microhardness, XPS, and other related characterization methods.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $158,181 - $202,099 per year, commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan.
