Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Baker Group. As a Project Engineer, you will provide technical support and administrative assistance to Project Managers and the business unit as a whole.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide sales and business development support to build client relationships and obtain more work.
  • Participate in ongoing review, planning, and formulation to achieve required and desired results.
  • Assist with day-to-day coordination and administration of projects, including managing budgets and fiscal controls.
  • Procure subcontractors and monitor their work quality and schedule.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through continual communication and feedback.
  • Attend jobsite visits, internal project meetings, and coordinate meetings as directed.
  • Help ensure project performance, operations, and delivery are in compliance with design and/or specifications.
  • Develop relationships with customers and pursue opportunities for long-term relationships and revenue growth.
Requirements
  • 4-year Engineering or Construction Management degree.
  • 0-1 year of experience, including internships.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with project management software.
  • Excellent active listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong initiative and attention to detail, prioritization, and organization skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings and sketches.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to contract terms and conditions.
Work Environment

At Baker Group, you will be exposed to normal office conditions, as well as exposure to weather, heat, cold, wet and/or humid environments, vibration, and noise intensity.

You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including a hard hat, safety glasses, safety boots, and a Hi-Vis vest.

The physical requirements of this role include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, lifting 20 pounds occasionally, and standing, walking, and/or climbing stairs for prolonged periods.
