Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. This role will support the Radiologist in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient image processing and transmission to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Radiologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Process and transmit images to PACS in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized imaging department
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and imaging services
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of radiology procedures and protocols

Requirements:

  • One year of acute, clinical radiology experience preferred
  • Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment required
  • Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology required
  • Graduate of a program accredited by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
  • CT ARRT Certification required (effective 07/01/2015)
  • BCLS (AHA) certification required upon hire
  • Proficient computer skills
