Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and perform a variety of technical diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Provide patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test.
  • Perform complete diagnostic imaging tests inclusive of positioning patient, calibration of equipment, and documentation of findings, with the direction of the imaging supervisor/manager.
  • Assist patients with basic patient care needs.
  • Perform complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director.
  • Obtain and document patient history.
  • Prepare equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards.
  • Perform periodic QA and Ensures requisite documentation.
  • Problem solves equipment failure and contacts Lead Technologist regarding equipment problems.
  • Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
  • Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained.
  • Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure.
  • Actively Participates with patient testing, performing urgent, emergent patient requests, routine and non-routine requests and OR procedures requiring radiographic support.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
  • No experience required.
  • American Heart BLS required.
  • MRAD:TX (Licensed in State of Texas).
  • RTR (Registered with ARRT).
