Assistant Director of Nursing Job Description

At Greentree Nursing & Rehab - Pittsburgh, PA, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and achieving positive clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement effective nursing strategies and policies.
  • Lead and mentor nursing staff to achieve top-of-license practice and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with nurse staffing, including performance evaluations, interviews, and orientation.
  • Ensure compliance with Genesis policies and procedures, practice standards, and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Registered Nurse/RN license.
  • Minimum 3 years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience, with at least 2 years in nursing supervision in the long-term care setting.
  • Knowledge of the MDS process, state nurse practice acts, and state and federal regulations.
