North Carolina Retina Associates is seeking highly motivated and organized individuals to join our team as Ophthalmic Technicians and Medical Scribes.

We are the largest Retina Practice in North Carolina, and we pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care. As an Ophthalmic Technician and Medical Scribe, you will play a vital role in supporting our physicians and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct clinical assistance to ophthalmologists during patient examinations.
  • Perform triage duties, assessing patients' needs and prioritizing care.
  • Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment, including OCT, fundus cameras, and fluorescein angiography systems.
  • Assist with the coordination of surgical schedules and procedures.
  • Review and edit medical charts and referrals for accuracy and completeness.
  • Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems, such as MDI Intellechart, to document patient information and progress.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working as an ophthalmic technician in a clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of ophthalmic procedures and terminology.
  • Proficiency in operating ophthalmic equipment (OCT, fundus cameras, FA).
  • Experience with medical scribing and EHR systems is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Full-time hours are preferred.
