Position: Litigation Paralegal
The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in litigation and prior experience within a law firm environment. Collaborate closely with top trial attorneys in the industry. You will be responsible for managing cases from start to finish, engaging in all facets of the legal process. As an integral part of the team, your role will involve supporting attorneys, preparing for trial, and overseeing case documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft deposition exhibits, Notices of Appearance, trial exhibit lists, and various legal documents for attorneys.
- Organize and maintain documents within the filing system.
- Oversee pleadings and discovery indexes.
- Create electronic binders and coordinate logistics for printing and delivery.
- Prepare exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
- File pleadings with the court clerk.
- Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics.
- Attend trials/arbitrations, collaborate with trial teams and internal/external parties, and provide paralegal support as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience, with at least one year in a prestigious law firm.
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- Availability for overtime work and occasional travel for trial is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Exceptional organizational skills and resourcefulness.
- Capability to effectively manage multiple tasks, handle time-sensitive documents, and maintain attention to detail to produce timely and accurate work.
- Able to perform well under tight deadlines.
