Key Responsibilities- Parts Procurement: Order and manage the inventory of parts for semitrucks and trailers, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing downtime.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Coordinate with truck drivers to schedule maintenance and repairs, ensuring that vehicles are back on the road as quickly as possible.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance work, fuel consumption, and other relevant data.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of parts and services.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure that parts and supplies are properly stocked and accounted for.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with shop staff, truck drivers, and vendors to ensure that all parties are informed and up-to-date on maintenance schedules and other important information.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of diesel trucks and maintenance procedures, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.
