Imaging Expertise at Duke Health

We're seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Duke Health, where we're dedicated to advancing health together. As a CT Technologist, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CT scanners and related equipment with precision and accuracy, adhering to radiation safety procedures.
  • Position patients for CT scans using specialized equipment and protective gear.
  • Perform exams accurately, following established protocols and patient safety standards.
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including IV placement and contrast administration.
  • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and ensure accurate labeling and transmission to the Image Archival System.
  • Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions.
  • Charge procedures and supplies in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Dispense and order oral contrast for CT scans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and provide education and training to new CT technologists.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support, addressing psychological and physical needs.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and PhDs to develop new protocols and CT imaging techniques.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification or currently holds required registry or certification.
  • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) within 18 months of employment.
  • BLS certification.
