Position Overview:
The County of Winona is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Assistant County Attorney. This position involves providing comprehensive legal and advisory services in both criminal and civil law, ensuring effective representation for the county and its personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Assistant County Attorney, your duties will include:

  1. Identifying and resolving legal issues faced by county officials and employees.

  3. Monitoring compliance with laws among county departments and personnel.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • A valid license to practice law in Minnesota.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of civil and criminal law.
  • Experience in legal research and effective presentation of cases.
  • Ability to analyze data and negotiate effectively.
