Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Medical-Surgical care. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a dynamic environment.

Unit Information

The unit operates under a structured environment with a focus on patient care. Nurses are expected to work independently and manage their time effectively.

Patient Care and Staffing

The nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:3-4, ensuring adequate attention to each patient. The team consists of a physician available around the clock and two registered nurses on duty during both day and night shifts.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following certifications:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC

Experience in a critical access hospital or community hospital is preferred. First-time travelers with three years of experience in the specialty are welcome to apply.

Additional Requirements

Candidates should be proficient in managing medications and able to work with limited resources. Familiarity with respiratory equipment and the ability to interpret telemetry is essential.

Scheduling and Flexibility

Shifts are typically 12 hours, from 7 AM to 7 PM, with self-scheduling options available. Flexibility is required, including every other weekend and participation in holiday rotations.

Dress Code

Nurses are permitted to wear any color except maroon, with navy being the preferred choice.
