Unit Information

The unit operates under a non-trauma designation with a focus on various medical conditions. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:3-4, ensuring quality care for each patient.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following certifications:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC

Experience in a critical access hospital or a community hospital is preferred. First-time travelers with a minimum of three years of experience in the specialty are also welcome to apply.

Skills and Competencies

Successful candidates should demonstrate:

  • Ability to work independently with limited resources
  • Strong time management skills
  • Experience with conscious sedation and blood product administration
Work Environment

The facility provides a supportive environment with a focus on teamwork. The charge nurse oversees the unit without taking on an assignment, allowing for effective management of patient care.

Additional Information

Shifts are scheduled from 7 AM to 7 PM, with self-scheduling options available. Weekend and holiday rotations may be required.
