MidAmerica Liner is a leading specialty construction company in the Geosynthetics Industry, focusing on Biogas capture. Our clients are primarily Controlled Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO) by the EPA. We provide products and services that serve the industry in reclamation and useful disposition of Biogas generated by their operations.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and estimating budget costs for construction projects, evaluating offers to purchase, resolving cost differences, and developing standard costs for future projects. They will also develop and present project budgets, progress reports, and project requirements. Additionally, they will work closely with project managers and other managers, schedule meetings, navigate regulations and construction codes, process paperwork, and travel to building sites as required.

The Construction Estimator position is a full-time professional role, requiring a 40-hour workweek. Extended hours may be necessary to fulfill customer expectations. Exempt associates are expected to maintain professional standards of conduct, treating others with dignity and respect, demonstrating a calm and helpful demeanor, being supportive, and valuing customers as stakeholders in our business.

To be successful in this role, you will need strong math skills, including algebra, geometry, and basic arithmetic. You should be able to navigate specifications and plans, proficient in presenting proposals and projects, and able to handle multiple assignments at once. Knowledge of the latest building codes and close attention to detail are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with a commitment to excellence in all aspects of the estimating discipline.

A bachelor's degree in mathematics, architecture, industrial engineering, or a similar field is required, along with a certificate in general construction, roofing, electrician, etc., and at least 5 years of related experience.
