Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Technologist Assistant to join our team at LCMC Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist radiology technologists with various tasks, including preparing rooms for patients, cleaning rooms after patients, and stocking supplies and linen.
  • Transport patients throughout the radiology department, including to and from the emergency department or inpatient units.
  • Facilitate patient preparation for examinations, including dressing patients and assisting them on and off examination tables.
  • Set up rooms for examinations or procedures and maintain exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
  • Recognize emergent situations and respond appropriately, calling codes as needed.
  • Identify orders in Epic and coordinate with technologists and radiologists when protocols are needed for examination.
  • Check current lab values on patients receiving contrast and adhere to hospital policy on body substance isolation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience.
  • Enrolled in an accredited Radiology Program.
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (CPR, BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
