Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Eligibility Specialist I to join our team at the Mariposa County Health and Human Services Agency.

About the Position:

As an Eligibility Specialist I, you will play a critical role in ensuring that eligible individuals receive benefits in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct eligibility interviews with applicants and assess their qualifications for benefits
  • Determine eligibility for various programs and services
  • Process applications and make determinations on eligibility
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on applicant data

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in social services or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
