Roads Infrastructure Specialist

The Maintenance Worker III - Roads position is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of County roads, culverts, and related structures.

• Assist in coordinating and participating in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of County roads.
• Provide leadership to subordinate maintenance workers as assigned, provide training and assistance as required.
• Ensure road crews are on the job site, organized, and ready to work in the absence of the Maintenance and Construction Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Flag for traffic and post traffic control devices during road maintenance and construction work and emergency traffic diversions.
• Operate a variety of light and heavy equipment, including motor graders, loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, compactors, rollers, snow plows, power brooms, trucks, and pick-up trucks, forklifts; operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Conduct periodic equipment safety checks.
