Key Responsibilities:
A typical week may involve:
  • Connecting with each child at their level, embracing creativity, and fostering a joyful learning atmosphere.
  • Developing and implementing weekly lesson plans aligned with children's growth and NAEYC Accreditation Standards.
  • Collaborating with fellow educators to design classroom projects, ensuring all materials are prepared in advance.
  • Promoting learning through play in a manner that is developmentally appropriate.
  • Engaging in constructive dialogue with parents, colleagues, and children.
  • Overseeing classroom management to maintain quality, safety, and compliance with state regulations and sanitation protocols.

Ideal Candidate:
This position may be a fit for you if you possess two or more years of experience working with young children and meet one or more of the following qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or a related field; OR
  • A Child Development Associate certificate along with two years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare facility or preschool; OR
  • At least 24 credit hours in Early Childhood or Education-related studies, combined with three months of experience in a licensed preschool or childcare center.
