About This Role:

The Kansas Child Care Training Opportunities (KCCTO) team, within the College of Health and Human Sciences at Kansas State University, is seeking an Infant-Toddler Professional Development Specialist to join our team. This role will focus on providing statewide professional development opportunities for childcare providers and programs serving infants and toddlers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite and virtual technical assistance, including coaching, consultation, and facilitation of peer-to-peer learning opportunities.
  • Develop individualized quality improvement plans for childcare providers.
  • Offer in-person and live virtual training on early childhood education and care topics.
  • Support the development and approval of new training content.
  • Collaborate with program staff and partners to advocate for quality infant-toddler care and support the development of statewide systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field.
  • One year of relevant experience working with young children, preferably in an infant-toddler setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in early childhood education or child development.
  • Three years of experience in a childcare setting, including experience with infants and toddlers.
  • Documented experience providing teaching/in-service training and technical assistance to adult learners.

What We Offer:

  • A 12-month, benefits-eligible position with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
  • Tenths negotiable upon offer for the selected candidate.
