Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare sterile operating rooms for surgeries, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Sterilize equipment and instruments to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Stock adequate supplies for surgery, ensuring that all necessary materials are readily available.
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites, and provide support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
  • Track surgical supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are accounted for.
  • Stay up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures, and maintain a high level of knowledge and skill.
  • Work well with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses, and the general surgical team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Help provide great patient care, ensuring that all patients receive the highest level of care and attention.
Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current CVOR Surgical Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Certified Surgical Tech program.
  • Active unencumbered Certified Surgical Tech Indiana state license.
  • One year of Epic experience.
