Job Opportunity:

PacArctic, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Program Director to support our government customer in Greensboro, NC. This position will be 100% onsite and requires a strong background in child welfare and refugee support services.

Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant Program Director will work under the direction of the Program Director to provide strategic leadership and ensure the quality of services provided to unaccompanied children and unaccompanied refugee minors. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing various programs according to funding agreements and standards of the US Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement.

• Ensuring programs are developing and implementing ongoing quality improvement measures, including monitoring activities, to deliver program outcomes that meet and exceed requirements.

• Reviewing and providing feedback on reports to funders and grant proposal submissions.

• Providing oversight and coordination of all program monitoring reports.

• Reviewing and editing quarterly and semi-annual program reports and supporting submissions.

• Monitoring and managing relevant budgetary functions in collaboration with the Director.

• Continually engaging partner agencies through conference calls and site visits to maintain strong working relationships and evaluate partner and community needs.

• Maintaining close working relationships across The Office of Refugee Relocation to ensure effective communication of major Unit-wide developments, trends, activities, and challenges/opportunities.

• Providing advocacy, both internally and externally, to support the needs of internal staff, affiliate partners, and/or programmatic requirements.

• Actively working to develop a cohesive team and establish a supportive and productive work environment.

• Meeting with federal partners, program affiliate partners, and other related stakeholders in person or via conference calls to discuss issues, share best practices, and collaborate on identifying solutions to challenges related to the long-term integration of newcomers.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, sociology, or a related field, plus five years of progressive employment experience with a social services or childcare agency or organization. A minimum of four years of experience and in-depth knowledge of unaccompanied children and unaccompanied refugee minors, domestic child welfare systems, Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) systems, and related migrant and refugee child welfare programs, stakeholders, emerging trends, etc. is also required.

Special Position Requirements:

This position requires work experience at an Influx Care Facility, 100% on-site work, and the ability to pass an FBI background check and a CA/N (Child Abuse and Neglect) background check for every state in which they have resided in the last five years, updated yearly.

Working Environment & Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations, and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
