Job Title: Program Director

Join our team at the National Conference for Community and Justice of the Piedmont Triad as a Program Director, where you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our organization. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing, delivering, and overseeing the development of high-quality educational programs and activities that advance our mission.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage our flagship youth program, ANYTOWN, including securing and training staff, recruiting participants, and managing the registration process.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive program strategy to increase the quantity and quality of programs delivered and number of people served.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key collaborative partners, including schools, businesses, and community organizations.
  • Contribute to the creation and management of annual work plans, budgets, and timelines for the program department.
  • Lead efforts to recruit, hire, train, and supervise a strong and diverse pool of program staff, including contract workers, volunteer staff, and interns.
  • Promote and market NCCJ programs, including developing and maintaining a vibrant multi-media resource center.

Requirements:
  • BA or equivalent in a related field, such as education, organizational development, diversity, and/or change management.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience working in program administration, with increasing responsibility and proven success in leading educational programs.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience, preferably in a non-profit or community-based organization.
  • Coaching or teaching experience a plus.
  • Adept at group facilitation, including work with adults and youth.
  • Proven ability to work in partnership with diverse populations, including schools, businesses, and community organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to diversity and social justice.
  • A familiarity with and understanding of issues of diversity and inclusion, with knowledge of how those issues are particularly navigated in the Piedmont Triad region and in different environments/settings.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and deliver programs related to NCCJ's facilitation model and the organization's mission, vision, and philosophy.
  • Energetic self-starter with strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective and clear verbal and written communication.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, marketing, and community outreach skills.
  • Team player who works with minimal supervision and exercises sound independent judgment.
  • Availability to follow a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and several week-long residential summer sessions.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Windows/Microsoft Office environment and other online office productivity platforms.

  • Competitive salary ranging between $45,000 and $55,000, depending on experience.
