Diesel Mechanic Position

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder in Portsmouth, NH. As a Master Level Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
- Advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after treatment, and automotive fuel injection repairs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification, Post-Secondary degree, or Technical Certifications preferred
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
Benefits:
- Average weekly pay: $1362.80
- Hourly pay: $34.07 per hour
- Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700
- Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter - four times per year
- $300.00 tool allowance yearly
Work Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, weekends off
- First shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to perform all T3 tasks
- Must have demonstrated advanced analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
