Job Title: Systems Engineering Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of systems engineers in Poway, California. The successful candidate will have a strong systems engineering and integration background, with experience in leading teams and supporting systems engineering needs on programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervisory leadership and technical direction to a team of Systems Engineers, ensuring output consistency and accuracy.
  • Work with program leads and management to ensure programs are properly staffed for systems engineering execution.
  • Develop, engage, and retain systems engineering talent.
  • Conduct team member performance reviews and performance management.
  • Identify and address internal and external customer needs within expected budget and timelines.
  • Participate in and contribute to direct project scope and deliverables.
  • Develop innovative and practical solutions to technical problems in engineering.
  • Present at engineering meetings, participate in program reviews, and consult on engineering problems.
  • Anticipate future engineering needs and adjust to accomplish business goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Progressive engineering experience: 9+ years with a Bachelor's degree, 7+ years with a Master's degree, or 4+ years with a PhD.
  • Extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice.
  • Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to represent the organization as a prime technical contact and provide leadership and guidance to less experienced professionals.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

  • Competitive salary: $105,890 - $189,545.

  • Desired clearance level: Secret.
