Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing systems engineering solutions to support the design, development, and integration of our Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to capture and analyze system requirements
  • Utilize SysML to express system requirements and develop system models
  • Maintain and manage requirements across various modeling tools and requirements management systems
  • Formulate and execute the development of new system capabilities and features from concept to fielding
  • Perform analysis of stakeholder requirements to decompose and allocate requirements to lower levels of specification
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution
  • Progressive engineering experience, with a minimum of 6 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or 4 years of experience with a master's degree, or 2 years of experience with a PhD
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as IBM Rational DOORS
  • Proven experience with Modeling methodologies including SysML, UML, and Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance
