Key Responsibilities

As an Advanced Practice Clinician, you'll be responsible for:

  • Evaluating, diagnosing, and managing acute, critical, and chronic patient illnesses and diseases
  • Obtaining medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and assessing and determining differential diagnoses
  • Prescribing medication, therapy, and treatments accordingly
  • Interpreting and evaluating patient data to determine management and treatment plans
  • Performing minor surgeries and routine procedures
Requirements
  • Physician Assistant license issued by the state in which the caregiver practices
  • Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the caregiver practices, and Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or Nurse Practitioner (AANP) certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

  • Demonstrated high level of clinical proficiency and excellent decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a healthcare team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the workday
  • Have functional speech, vision, touch, and hearing
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs over the head
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
Working Conditions

Will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards, as well as blood and body fluids. Protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
