We seek individuals who are committed to going the extra mile to address the diverse needs of their students, preparing them for both higher education and life beyond school.

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

Our English educators collaborate tirelessly with their colleagues to ensure that all students not only develop the ability to read, analyze, and extract pertinent information from texts but also meet the established educational standards by the conclusion of the academic year. This vital work is supported through administrative coaching, regular feedback, teamwork, data-driven decision-making, and targeted interventions for students who may be struggling.

We are in search of high school English educators who are adaptable, diligent, and continuously seeking to enhance their teaching practices to meet the evolving needs of their students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans and units that cater to the diverse needs of all students, with clear, standards-aligned objectives and effective assessments to measure student understanding.
  • Engage in bi-weekly coaching sessions to deepen your understanding of content, instructional strategies, and classroom management techniques to refine your teaching practice.
  • Contribute to a collaborative educational environment with fellow team members, participating in grade-level planning, content-focused teams, and ongoing professional development throughout the academic year.
  • Fulfill school-related responsibilities, which may include student meetings, overseeing student transitions, managing lunch duties, and other tasks assigned by school leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for this English teaching position is passionate about nurturing young minds, enjoys working with students who require additional support, is adaptable, receptive to feedback, and eager to grow professionally.
